Instructor for beginning ceramics, intermediate ceramics, and production pottery. These courses explore techniques and materials to provide a broad understanding of the traditional pottery and the ceramic arts. Demonstrations include; skills of hand building, basic mold making and throwing on the potter’s wheel, a variety of glazing techniques, loading and firing of kilns.  Course includes regular individual and group critiques, technical discussions, as well as slide lectures.  Responsible for curriculum development and instruction.

2010-2014 • Lab Technician

As the Studio Technician in Ceramics for Palomar College under Sasha Jonestein where I am responsible for a ceramics studio that supports over 150 students.  The position requires a working relationship with clay and glaze materials, stocking and maintaining a warehouse, kiln yard, classroom, and glaze lab.  It involves loading, maintaining, and firing gas and electric kilns, fixing studio equipment, organizing a large student art and craft sale, as well as overseeing student workers.

As the Studio Technician in Ceramics at San Diego State University under Joanne Hayakawa and Richard Burkett I was gained the skills to maintain a working ceramics studio.  The position involve loading, maintaining, and firing gas and electric kilns, mixing large batches of glaze and recycling clay, and organizing and cleaning the studio.
